Ukrainian participants have started to implement local initiatives in their communities in frame of the Erasmus+ «Strengthening Capacities of Young Leaders and Youth Organisations for Meaningful Community Participation» project.
The first community was Nemishaieve (Kyiv region) and project fellow – Liudmyla Kindrat. Together with the team, she conducted training on the development of leadership competencies to participate in community policy-making in rural areas of Ukraine for young people and people working with the youth in Nemishaieve community.
During the training, participants shared their experiences, discussed problems and prospects in the youth work of the community and scheduled meetings with stakeholders. The training resulted in a plan to activate youth of the community who want to create and build the capacity of the local youth council to advocate for youth participation in community policy-making.
The project «Strengthening Capacities of Young Leaders and Youth Organisations for Meaningful Community Participation» is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and implemented by the consortium of four youth organisations from Ukraine, Armenia, Moldova, and Portugal.
